Alaskan Adventure
Plane trip, two book sales, two malls, two trips to Costco, many meals, a 360 mile road trip, grandma/grandpa visit, great grandma/grandpa visit . . . the last three days have been busy.
So I was really hoping that we would have an open seat next to us on the plane. Well thank God – we did! Whoever was supposed to sit next to us missed the plane. As the plane boarded I felt bad as I secretly wished that the seat would stay open – and it did! So we weren’t as cramped as we could have been and the lady in the window seat was very sweet.
Here Liam sleeps on the plane. I put him on the floor because he likes to sprawl out and the seat was too small. He slept for almost two hours!

When he woke up, Liam was a total ham on the plane and flirted with the stewardess. He is very tricky, he knew she had food – he saw the cart go by.

Here he shows off a trick. It worked, the stewardess was so smitten she gave him some crackers!

My mom and sister Stacy picked us up at the Anchorage Airport and we went to check into the hotel. Here Liam checks Stacy’s teeth for her, yep. . .they look okay.

Later that night, after his bath, Liam entertained Stacy in his shark pajamas. He is such a looker!

The next morning Grandma Jennifer feeds Liam watermelon, which he loved.

Here Liam wakes us up, nice and early. Good morning! It’s time to get up for the book sale.

We had a great time in Anchorage. I did really well at the book sales – scoring some great books. We headed back Saturday night with a truck full of books and Costco goods. The drive was long, but beautiful.
Mt. McKinley (Denali) just happened to be out. It is often covered by clouds – so we took advantage of the showing and pulled over for some pictures. Liam was happy to get out of his car seat. Mt. McKinley is the tallest mountain in North America at a whopping 20,320 feet. That is as long as 8,128 Liams!

We saw Caribou near Cantwell. Cantwell has a population of 226 people and I guarantee that caribou outnumber people here.

Once we arrived in Fairbanks Liam was excited to see his big Fairbanks family fan club.

Liam visited his Great Grandma Pears, who helped him practice his walking.

Great Grandma and Grandpa Pears were excited to see Liam. Last time they saw him he was only three months old.

Liam eats a lizard. He’ll eat anything. . .

Grandpa Scott reads to Liam.

Liam has been doing a lot of clapping these days. He’s a happy guy and he knows it. If you’re happy and you know it. . .

Grandpa Scott gives Liam a ride in a wagon. Bailey the beagle looks on, slightly jealous the Liam’s getting all the attention.

We’ve been busy since we got of the plane and we are having a lot of fun. I’ll post more photos on this page as I have them.
Looks as if you are having a great time….Liam continues to charm strangers and family alike. Looks as if he might be running soon for president.
Hi,
It sounds as if you are having a wonderful time. Liam looks so happy in all the pictures. Lysa wants to know if he got the stewardess’ phone number?
Hi to your family and we look forward to seeing you when you come home. Looking forward to seeing your mom when she gets down here too.
Love ya,
Uncle Dan, Aunt Chris Jessie and Lysa

I can’t believe he’s a year old! I can believe he’s that cute (you being his mom and all) but walking…wow.
