First Haircut

Liam had his first haircut yesterday (April 19) at his Aunt Chris’ salon.

Here’s how it went:

Liam tells Aunt Chris just how he wants his hair cut.

Chris puts the colorful ocean smock on Liam. She is surprised when Liam tells her he’d like a perm, a color and for her to trim up the split ends.

Liam starts off holding his head up very straight and he is very serious. You can see the hair over his ears that keeps him from hearing the word “no.”

This is about half way through.

He smiles slightly as he realizes how good he looks. Notice how the hair no longer covers his ear!

Now time for the other side.

He looks at his dad and you can tell he’s wondering, “are we done yet?”

Then he catches a glimpse of himself in the mirror, he gets serious and he’s thinking, “ooh, I look good!”

Oh no! Liam looks worried as we trim up the back. He must have wanted a mullet. . .too bad.

Now it’s time to dry his hair. You can tell from his face that he’s about to give you . . .

. . . the stink face! What is a mother to do?

The stink face disappeared and Liam cuddled with Aunt Chris. His new hair cut is darling and he still has trouble hearing the word “no.”
