We have all recovered

August 19, 2008

Between Liam’s surgery last Tuesday, Jeremy and I getting the flu/food poisoning last Friday and this past weekend being in the mid-90s, I’d say we have finally recovered from all that ails us. Liam is doing exceptionally well and I can safely say that he’s back to his old rambunctious, mischievous self. Here are some highlights from our weekend.

We are sick, sick people

August 15, 2008

After a night of restless sleep, Jeremy and I both woke up sicker than dogs this morning. We both feel miserable and we took turns worshipping the porcelain god. Liam, even with his surgery wounds, seems to be in the best shape of all of us. We aren’t sure why we are sick. It might be the raw chicken we had for lunch yesterday (just kidding). It probably has something to with the IRS, I’ll blame them (also just kidding). It’s suppose to be 92 degrees today (wish I was kidding), should be a fun one.

Four years of marriage – today!

July 10, 2008

Happy Anniversary to Jeremy and me as we’ve been married four years today. Time has gone by so fast, it’s hard to believe. Technically we’ve been together for seven years as we started dating the beginning of my senior year at PLU.

Before I had even knew his name, I noticed what nice legs he had and that he was always doing laundry. He lived on the guys wing, just down the hall from my dorm room in Foss Hall. We started hanging out because we ended up having mutual friends. In particularly, Jeremy ended up rooming with Brian G who I just happen to be a high school friend of mine from Fairbanks. When we first met we were both in other relationships but over time those dissolved and we started hanging out more and more together – what a good match we have made.

We got married July 10, 2004 in Steilacoom, WA at the old town hall. It was a beautiful day and the wedding and reception were perfect. We honeymooned in Maui and had a fabulous time. Life, and marriage, has been very good to us. We feel very blessed to have each other and now, Liam. We make a good team. Jeremy still has stunning legs and he continues to do the bulk of the laundry. Check out some fun photos.

School’s out and the livin’ is easy

June 20, 2008

Liam, with tunnel vision.Yesterday was Jeremy’s last day of school and of spring football practice! We kicked off our “summer” by going to the library and stocking up on some summer reading (like we need more books around this house). Then we went out to dinner and enjoyed a delicious meal. After that we walked around the dock, looked at the sailboats and meandered over to the nearby park.

Liam has been to the park by our house, but essentially that is just baby swings, so this was Liam’s first time on a slide and in a tunnel. I think he really liked it.

Happy Daddy’s Day Jeremy

June 17, 2008

Jeremy and Liam play outside on Jeremy\'s first Fathers DaySunday was Jeremy’s first Father’s Day. He’s been a father for nearly a year now, longer if you count the pregnancy, which I do. He’s a great dad and has been since day one. He is helpful, caring, fun and all those other things a dad should be. Read the rest of this entry ?

Our grand total to fight cancer

May 31, 2008

It\'s all about having HOPE.We did it. For the first time in more than five years of doing Relay we reached our goal of $1,000. In fact, we raised $1,300. Most of the money was through book sales, $400 online and $500 at the garage/book sale. The rest, was from our friends and family who generously donated – thank you!
