The weekend of Liam’s 2nd birthday we were invited to go to Harrison Hot Springs (in British Columbia, Canada) with Jeremy’s grandparents. We couldn’t, and wouldn’t, want to pass up the opportunity to spend some quality time with them, in a really wonderful place. The drive is only a few hours, but once you get there you feel worlds away from the worries and stresses of home. Within minutes of checking into our hotel room we were ready to go for a swim!

We arrived in Alaska in the middle of the night on July 1. It was strange to leave a pitch black Seattle and see the light increase as we flew north. Although I grew up with the midnight sun, it’s always surreal being outside at 2 a.m. with the sun out.

On Saturday June 27 we got an early morning call from my Aunt Lorna (dad’s sister) who has a litter of Golden Doodles . . .and she was offering one to us (they are hypoallergenic puppies!). So before we knew it, we decided to drive over to Post Falls, Idaho to visit them and meet these great puppies. . .

On Sunday after Jeremy’s party, we headed out to Riffe Lake to catch the tail end of the Clarke family tradition of camping for Memorial Day. We love it out there – the views, the nature, the family, the food, the great memories. It’s always a good time.

This past Sunday we went to a Mariner’s baseball game up in Seattle. This was Liam’s first major league baseball experience and he LOVED it!
He wasn’t sure what to think about all the people and the loud noises, but for the most part he was all smiles!

This week we stopped by the Bayview grocery store in Olympia and instead of me pushing the cart and leading the way, Liam took charge and did the shopping.

Grandma Jennifer left this morning at 3 a.m. after ten days of hugs, kisses and giggles. We kept busy (hence the lack of blog posts) and did all kinds of fun things.
We are going to miss Grandma, but have plans to visit her in Alaska in May – only eight weeks away.
