More dirt, plus the Bro Band
August 31, 2008
Today we ventured south to Mossy Rock to join Aunt Chris and Uncle Dan at their lake property at Riffe Lake. This is a great place to go to get away from the chores, traffic, work and other ailments of daily life. It’s relaxing, beautiful and always fun. Liam spent most of his time exploring and digging in the mole hills. He didn’t find any moles, but he did find great satisfaction in getting filthy.
I’m not sure who had more fun – Liam playing in the dirt, or all the adults laughing at him as he played. I can’t believe it – he continues to eat dirt. When will he learn it’s not in the food pyramid?
He’s now eats dirt in stealth mode. Stealth mode gets us every time. You see he takes his time, he waits until we put our guard down and we think “nah, he’s not going to eat dirt this time.” And then he nonchalantly turns his back to us and then he lifts his butt in the air and his face near the ground (closer proximity to the dirt) and it’s in before you can even get to saying “nooooo!” Well I’ve figured it out and from now on his stealth mode won’t work on me.

Score! Yes, I am so excited. Thank you mom for letting me play in the dirt!

I’m so happy, I could cheer or do the touch down signal – whatever you’d like.

I’m gonna keep on digging until I find that mole. . .

Or a rock. . .looks yummy.

Let me stand up and reassess the situation.

I think I missed a spot, better keep digging.

Liam explores the big yard. Check out his pants – time to try out some stain removers.
A couple girls from the neighborhood (one is Chris’ niece) came over to play with Liam. He was in heaven with the attention of two young girls. It was cute to see him interact with them.

It looks like Liam is telling them how to tie his shoes.

Such a ladie’s man. He takes the girls for a walk toward the beach. . .
Grandma Melinda and Grandpa Rick showed up in the afternoon. They brought Liam a guitar/piano/drum instrument. It’s straight from the 80s but hasn’t lost it’s ability to entertain – especially the adults!
Grandpa Rick had a hard time parting with it. He’s been practicing on it ever since they bought it. Uncle Dan joined right in and the two made a very groovy duo. I should have taken a video – but I didn’t, so I made one! That’s right, I put together all the goofy photos I took and made my first movie production. It won’t win an Oscar, but will probably be good for blackmail someday. Enjoy, the Bro Band. . .
Hi Guys, You guys need to start your own band it was good. Liam you are the cutest, and nice to let the adults play with your toys. You all look like had a very fun day. Love and kisses Liam from Grandma Bidwell
