Silly rabbit, sticks are for kids and/or dogs
April 4, 2008
I’ve decided that if you have a baby, you don’t need a dog. Or vice versa. They are really very similar, here are my observations:
- They need to be potty trained.
- They think your food is better than theirs.
- They need to take naps or else they go wild.
- They like chew toys.
- They spit up on the carpet.
- They slobber.
- They love attention.
- They like to go for walks.
- When out in public, perfect strangers want to pet or feed them.
- They like sticks (see photo) and anything else they find on the ground.
This is just a short list- I’m sure there are many others. Someone out there has probably really given this more thought and developed a much better list – but these are just my humble observations. If you have other thoughts than those listed above, please send them my way or post as a comment.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not doggin’ on my child – Liam really is my favorite pup and I wouldn’t trade him for the world.
UPDATED – As fate would have it, as I looked up from my blog, another similarity was observed. . .they like to chew on leather shoes. It’s a wonder he hasn’t worn down his 1.5 teeth.
Eventually your puppy/dog will listen to you better than your kids. =)
