Say no to mommy spam
April 3, 2008
I could write whimsically about this being my first ceremonious blog and describe my feelings of getting with the times. . . . or I can tell you the truth.
I’m giving this blog thing a try because I have a million Liam stories and photos that I want to share with friends and family – but I don’t want to be classified as a mommy spammer. I don’t want to end up on your “block user” list or filed mentally as an over-zealous, mommy-nut who has nothing better to do than fill your inbox with pictures of her kid, albeit adorable kid. It’s that simple.
You see Grandparents would probably like to get updates daily. Aunts, uncles and cousins might be okay with every couple of weeks. Our single and mingling friends – probably quarterly. The occasional acquaintance – annually? So what is one to do? This blog will solve my woes of Liam spam. I’ll just post here and send periodic e-mails with a link to the blog and then people can visit and get updates as they need. It’s a win-win.
Forgive me in advance for run-on sentences, overuse of the darling dash —, and cheesy captions. I can guarantee you that I’ll still send e-mails, or mommy spam, but not as frequently.
Check out “pages” in the right menu for Liam’s latest adventures.
Yay for the Liam blog! I’m looking forward to keeping up with all of the cute photos and news!
